How to Enter
Entries must be RECEIVED BY the judging coordinators NO LATER THAN November 16, 2012.
Step 1
- The first time you visit the entry form site, follow the steps to create a login identity, starting with clicking on “Register here”.
- Once you’re a registered user, carefully read the “7 steps to follow” (on the “Home” link) before beginning your entries.
- Complete an online entry form for each entry. Your entry information will be saved online and you can return to edit or add new entries until you are ready to submit and pay for your entries. If you have trouble with the online entry process, please contact Ann Mary Quarandillo.
- As part of the entry form, you will be asked to upload a two-page abstract describing the purpose, objective and results of your entry. (Entries in the Writing category will skip this part of the entry form.)
Step 2
- Submit and pay for your entries online. The fee is $50 (US) per entry, payable by credit card on our secure online entry site.
- Package two copies of your entry, including a printed copy of your abstract with the entry title and category number, and send it to the appropriate judging coordinator.
- Please note that categories are judged in different locales. Misdirected entries will not be considered.
There are exceptions to this procedure for the Video/Multimedia, Writing and Web Sites categories:
Video/Multimedia submissions
- Upload your two-page abstract
- Submit a YouTube or Vimeo link to your video. Make sure your link is not private.
- You do not need to mail anything to the judging coordinator.
Writing submissions
- You do not need to upload an abstract.
- Upload PDFs of your work in its published form.
- You do not need to mail anything to the judging coordinator.
Web Sites category submissions
- Upload your two-page abstract.
- If you have screen shots or other graphics to show past issues as part of your entry, you may upload those along with your abstract.
- You do not need to send a package to the judging coordinator.
Other important information
- Do not mount entries (except photographs, illustrations or covers).
- Do not use tape, glue or staples to attach forms or abstracts to your entry. Use paper clips, rubber bands, envelopes or plastic sleeves to keep entry materials together.
- Do not include any supporting materials not specifically requested as doing so can cause confusion over which materials are to be judged.
- Entries become the property of CASE District VIII and will not be returned. CASE District VIII shall not be held liable for loss of any entries. Judges review all pieces submitted and the final winners are determined at their discretion. Decisions made by the judges regarding entries accepted and level of awards given are final. Submission of entries is acknowledgment of these terms.
- The entrant grants CASE District VIII permission to exhibit or publish entries. The entrant warrants that the work entered is original, except for material from the public domain and any other material as may be included with the written permission of the copyright owner, and that the work does not infringe on any trade name, trademark or copyright. Entrants agree to indemnify CASE District VIII and hold it harmless from any and all claims, including, but not limited to, any losses, costs, fees, and damages that may be made against it by reason of CASE District VIII reproductions. If necessary, securing releases is the sole responsibility of the entrant.
